What’s behind Peter Thiel fleeing to Argentina and does it involve Vance?

If you’ve been following me since early 2025, you know that one of the earliest political readings I shared was on Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin. That reading was highly requested because people were so worried about both of them. I did a combo spread on them at the time because neither felt energetically powerful enough to me to read on solo.

In my opinion, people are vastly over worrying about these two in the political sphere. In that reading, I predicted both would flee the country after an uprising in the US that they couldn’t overcome, and that prediction came true within a year and a half for Thiel as he just fled for Argentina as reported in May 2026. And Curtis Yarvin is already on record in the past few months as saying he thinks he will need to flee the US to avoid Dems coming after him after they are back in power.

“I feel that I personally have to start thinking realistically about how to flee the country. Everyone else in a similar position should have a 2029 plan as well.” ~ Curtis Yarvin

So, with confirmation that Peter Thiel is out of the country for good (as I see it), I wanted to do a follow up reading to dig into the reason. This will give us insight into what’s really going on behind the scenes in the White House as well. In one of my readings on what leads to Trump’s downfall, I got that his donors/backers would panic and pull away from him, leaving him vulnerable. That has now begun!

With the Emperor at the sky of the reading, this tells me the presidency was weighing on Thiel’s mind as he made this decision. He bought an election in 2024 (per the cards in previous readings), and I’m hearing “the attempted takeover of the American government was a fool’s errand.” They know they don’t have the time left to do what they needed to do in order to subvert democracy, which was the plan. They didn’t get far enough fast enough to make it doable. It needed to be done in the first 6 months of 2025, and here we are only 5 months from the midterms where the odds are vastly in the Democrats’ favor. Thus, they didn’t pull it off. Hence, why Yarvin is panicking and why Thiel fled.

All signs point toward a blue wave in the fall even with their plans to gerrymander in every state, BUT with the economic disaster that Trump has driven us into, it’s likely the GOP’s plans to tilt the maps in their favor still won’t be enough to withstand the onslaught of angry voters heading to the polls. And if the Dems win the House, they will effectively end Trump’s power grab and make him a lame duck President in very short time! Thiel has run the numbers and made a calculated call to abandon ship. We see that with the 8 of Cups at the foundation of the reading. He’s walking away and cutting his losses as he doesn’t see anything left for him here.

At the center of the spread, with the Knight of Cups reversed, we see that there was something he wanted that he wasn’t given or that he was refused. This card is my pardon card, so it could be protection that he was hoping to receive. I see him looking at his upside-down cup and lamenting over it being empty. He will walk away empty handed, and it was a large part of the reason he fled. And the fact that the Emperor is upright and lording over this reversed knight, it seems that Trump himself denied him whatever he desired or asked for (either directly or indirectly). And with the reversed Knight of Cups being directly over the 8 of Cups, I see that as him walking away due to feeling unfulfilled and being empty-handed.

What’s interesting is that the Page of Swords (the card for surveillance/spying) is crossing him. He wasn’t able to achieve the techno state or the surveillance state that he had planned on, and the tables have now turned on him. Towards the end of his time in the USA, he felt he was being tracked and watched and didn’t like being tracked by the public. He is rarely seen in public, but I saw one video of the paparazzi and a few hecklers following him down the street, hounding him with accusatory questions. You could feel in his energy how perturbed it made him to be the center of attention and to be hounded like that. It was only about a month or so ago that I saw that video, and it feels like it was part of the decision for him. He feels he needs more obscurity to feel safe.

Whenever I read on him, it feels like he likes to work from the shadows only. That’s his comfort zone, and ever since his partnership with Vance became so public, he has spiraled out of control. He feels unsettled. One of the readings I did in the past said to keep the spotlight on him in an effort to break him and that seems to have worked.

And with the breaking news this week on Dialog, the highly secretive, invitation-only society for tech billionaires and establishment politicians founded by Thiel, this Page of Swords that’s crossing Thiel could represent the hacker that gave the anonymous tip about this directory hidden in the group’s website code. For nearly two decades, Dialog declined to publicly disclose its roster, but the leaked records reveal the identities of more than 200 of the world’s elite. The attendee list consists of major tech investors, powerful financiers, and United States officials, including some surprising Democratic politicians (senators and governors). The uncovered files exposed details of their annual retreats, outlining an agenda that features panels on tech development, social engineering, and prepping for major global events.

The bottom of the deck energy shows how discontent he’s been and shows that he decided to flee when he didn’t get his way. In the 6 of Swords card, we see him sailing away from the disappointment in that 4 of Cups. His back is to the card where he’s being offered a cup he doesn’t want. So, being denied whatever he wanted with that Knight of Cups is what ultimately drove him away. He’s taking his ball and going home, sulking. Some have wondered if his moving countries was just him starting a new leg of his agenda, BUT with the 4 of Cups combined with the 6 of Swords, we clearly see fleeing due to discontent. NOT due to expansion of a vision or agenda, which could have been shown by the 3 of Wands (expansion) or Magician (master plan) or even the Chariot to show forward, progressive movement. In my opinion, the 4 of Cups here clearly shows stagnation and being dissatisfied with his options. He is NOT happy.

Circling back to the crossing energy—another way to read the Page of Swords crossing him is to look at the spy aspect of the card closer. I’ve often gotten in JD Vance’s readings that he is a spy in the White House. If he was Thiel’s spy, which many suspect, it looks like Thiel lost control of his spy or his spy failed, likely failing to get the leverage needed on Trump to keep Trump in line. The problem with trying to gain leverage on Trump and controlling him in that manner is that Trump is a loose cannon. He can blow at any time. You can’t ever bank on Trump moving in the direction that you need him to.

That’s the thing that keeps getting Trump’s handlers in trouble. How they haven’t learned this over the past decade is insane. Every person thinks it will be different this time, but it never is. If you want to tame Trump or use him to your advantage, you must understand that he’s going to blow up any situation he’s a part of. That’s what is the best part of being in opposition to Trump. He will always be the key to their downfall. Every single time. That makes me worry less about lasting damage because if his allies/handlers/donors are building the House of Cards as their master plan, Trump is the wind, destined to blow them all away. We’d be in real trouble if Trump was competent or intelligent. Luckily for us, he’s neither.

Back to Thiel - We have both fleeing cards here (6 of Swords for the bottom of the deck energy and 8 of Cups at the root/foundation of the spread). So, without a doubt, he’s tucking his tail between his legs and fleeing. I’ve seen some try to say this is some master plan to expand his takeover of democracies across the world. But these are cards of retreat. Remember, the card at the center of the spread that represents him is reversed. He holds no power. There’s no mastermind strategy here in the cards. He wishes he was the Emperor, who is a strategist, but that’s at the sky of the reading. That’s NOT the energy he is in now. And I love how validating it is to be asking the cards why he fled, only for both fleeing cards to show up so prominently. The cards are showing they clearly know what I’m asking here.

The past position has the 7 of Wands and that shows me that an uprising of people (backlash to his agenda) ultimately tipped him over the edge. He couldn’t overcome the growing opposition that was making it difficult for him to maneuver around the country as he liked. There was too much battling for his liking, and he was on shaky ground with unsteady feet. It caught him off guard. Too bad Thiel doesn’t read tarot cards because that’s exactly what the cards predicted would happen last year. I saw growing discontent then with the 5 of Wands and Knight of Wands that Yarvin and Thiel would face. They chose retreat in the face of that backlash/opposition.

In this spread, the 7 of Wands looks like it’s fighting against that Page of Swords that is watching him. He really doesn’t like people keeping eyes on him. He’s like a Great White shark. They like to strike from below and often retreat and won’t attack when looked in the eye or when they are being watched. It’s always the shark you don’t see that you have to worry about, not the one you have eyes on. I watch a lot of Shark Week and that fact came to mind when feeling how skittish Thiel is when he’s the center of the spotlight. Feels like a phobia with him or definitely some sort of psychological hangup. Narcissists are very insecure at their core. They hide that from everyone, but it is key to understanding the disorder. It’s a front they put on. But inside they are fighting deep insecurities, and when the light is shining on him, he shrinks. This fear of being the center of attention may be rooted in childhood.

But Thiel will feel happier where he has landed—at least at first. The Queen of Cups in his near future feels like the welcome he experiences from the Argentinian government. Initially, he will feel like he is welcomed with open arms and maybe will feel a sense of protection in the process (his version of the pardon he sought but didn’t receive in the US). There’s something he’s being offered here with that large cup in the Queen of Cups card that appeases him (but notice the cup has a lid on it so it may not be what he really wants after some thought).

He may feel like his family feels more at home in Argentina. Maybe he achieves the privacy he wishes he still had in the USA. It doesn’t seem to last long, though. Reality begins to kick in soon due to his fortune changing (with that Wheel of Fortune in the outcome position). It seems to shift and not for the better. More on that in a minute.

With the sword from the Page of Swords being pointed at this Queen of Cups, this move to invite Thiel in could backfire for whoever is offering this cup in some way.

In the customized bottom right-hand section of the spread, I asked for a straightforward answer for why he fled. The Ace of Wands clearly shows it was due to the fact that they didn’t amass the power needed to complete their coup. I’m hearing, “They overplayed their hand.” It’s over! He made a play for it and fell short. In that same piece I referenced earlier, Curtis Yarvin also said Trump would eventually fail, saying “that the Trump administration has merely engaged in ‘theater without strategy’ rather than successfully executing the total systemic regime change he advocates.” So, he’s basically saying Trump wasn’t aggressive enough, violent enough, and committed enough to complete the coup. He didn’t move as swiftly as Hitler did essentially.

Again, these people don’t understand Trump. He rarely follows through. He talks big but gets easily bored and shifts to something else entirely that grabs his attention. Trump never had it in him to complete a coup on a country this large. He just wants to play Emperor. He doesn’t have it in him to put in the actual effort or work. What they are dealing with is undiagnosed ADHD. Even Trump doesn’t understand why he can’t keep focused, but he doesn’t care because he doesn’t see insight into himself as valuable. It’s why he will never change. The billionaires didn’t do their research, and it shows. I would have given them that psychological profile for free and saved them a lot of time, money, and heartache. Instead, now they’ll have to flee the country to avoid the accountability that is coming when Trump crashes and burns.

We see that Thiel is going back to the drawing board with that 2 of Wands in the home environment and will try to pull the strings from afar (Argentina) in some way, but it won’t work in his favor. He wants to attempt to scheme again from the shadows, but too much is already known now about how he operates. He’ll always have eyes on him. We won’t let him gain any traction again. He threw away his shot, to evoke the Hamilton Musical.

Thiel’s obstacle here in the USA was the 4 of Pentacles. He mentioned he was leaving the US due to higher taxes that are coming for the rich, so he felt he needed to protect his money by moving. That does match this card here. He felt he needed to protect his money and horde it. This is my scrooge card. He’s attempting to guard that wealth and hold on to as much of it as he can. The 4 of Pents is also a boundaries card and a warning to shore up your defenses around your money and your home. He felt like his boundaries were being breached with people following him/tracking him/invading his space. He just didn’t feel secure.

With this card coming up as his obstacle, I wonder if he had threats on his life right before he made the decision to flee. He could have reached out to Trump for help with that and got denied and then felt too vulnerable and exposed. I say that because the Emperor and 4 of Pents are both 4s. And that 4 of Cups makes three different 4 cards. That’s a major need to feel grounded, secure, safe! He was spooked over physical safety and financial security. As a life path 8, money, possessions, and abundance are all VERY important to him. He gets stressed when those are threatened.

His advice here is the Queen of Wands, and since she is from the wands suit, I’m reading this as advice to focus more on spiritual factors not money. Not everything is about how much you have in the bank if your soul is bankrupt. Time for a spiritual journey or awakening if he has any chance to save his soul.

His outcome with the combo of the Wheel of Fortune, Devil, and 3 of Swords shows addiction and shame (Devil) and being bound to someone, likely the Trump/Vance admin. When they go down, he still goes down, even if he’s in another hemisphere when it happens. That is when karma comes a knocking (Wheel of Fortune). And he ends up heartbroken and defeated (3 of Swords). He and Curtis Yarvin got the 10 of Swords in their reading last year for their outcome (that spread is shown below). We see that downfall in more detail here in this spread I pulled for just Thiel.

This Devil and 3 of Swords could be a drug overdose that stops his heart too. And before people get worried about the Devil’s appearance here, that Devil is for Thiel’s future outcome NOT ours. That’s his addiction and his bondage. I also find it meaningful that he’s obsessed with the anti-Christ and it’s showing up here. He may be lost in his delusions for some time, leading to loss and heartbreak. With the Devil here next to the Wheel of Fortune, my eye focuses on the red devil in the Wheel card being crushed by the wheel. Things don’t end well for Mr. Thiel. With these cards he could be lost to madness and drugs. He’s not a well man.

Notice how many repeat cards we had from that reading over a year ago that is posted above (Emperor, Ace of Wands, Queen of Cups, 6 of Swords, and the 2 of Wands that landed in the home environment in both spreads). How interesting. He loves strategizing apparently. Looks like he’s always down to construct a plan but isn’t too capable of implementing one and seeing it to a successful conclusion. He’s no Emperor because the Emperor makes a plan and executes it.

Tarot Tip: If you have spreads on the same topic/person with multiple repeater cards, look to see which positions the cards used to be in and note the positions they’ve shifted to in the newest spread in order to see a progression of the narrative. For example, we see in the past reading that the Emperor (the seat of the US Presidency) was at the foundation of the spread and now it’s at the sky of the reading. So, now instead of being rooted in this energy (which I read then as stealing the Presidency and trying to control that seat to subvert democracy), this is the energy that is weighing on him or is on his mind. The fact that the Emperor is not in the outcome in this newest spread shows that Thiel didn’t succeed in his plan for subverting democracy in the US. This is also a card for authoritarianism, and this is NOT the outcome. That was Thiel’s goal, but he fell short. The cards are telling us this in multiple ways throughout both spreads.

Another example here, is that the Ace of Wands was the bottom of the deck energy for Thiel’s past reading. And now it’s moved to the answer for why he fled (customized bottom right hand corner). So, in the past he gave his goal a good, concerted effort with a punch of force BUT due to not having amassed enough power early on in Trump’s second term, he didn’t have enough power to complete the goal. That is why he fled. It’s techniques like these that can help you pull more meaning out of your readings.

Oof! The Three of Pentacles, reversed, shows there was a breakdown in communication between Vance and Thiel. When upright, it is a card for teamwork and collaboration. But this shows they are no longer in alignment with each other, especially regarding their goals/agenda, and possibly a clash of egos. Someone may have even felt they weren’t respected or weren’t valued in this partnership and decided to cut and run. That 10 of Swords shows a painful ending and even a feeling of betrayal and wounding by this rupture.

This is utter dysfunction (hehe). They couldn’t implement their agenda. And there’s no opportunity for advancement here with this disharmony. Looks like Thiel is terribly disappointed that the horse he backed in this race isn’t viable. Time to move on! There’s just nothing anyone can do to make Vance acceptable to anyone on the planet. Thiel felt it was better to cut him loose and flee to avoid any fallout when Trump and Vance inevitably fail. He may go back to working solo with that 3 of Pents being reversed. He’s been burned trying to work as part of a “team.” By the way, there is no working with Trump on anything. It’s all about him, and he will throw everyone under the bus eventually. No one aligned with Trump will be left standing at the end of this. Trump is poison. It’s lunacy to think you can work with him and come out on the upside of things.

This seems really personal and maybe more than just a professional relationship. There are bitter feelings here and a sense of finality to the relationship, too. It felt like it was from Thiel’s perspective when this song came through during the reading, especially with the line saying, “I’m so moving on.” We know Thiel is gay (and is married) and we have suspicions about Vance’s orientation. There’s just something here suggesting things were possibly romantic here—at least from Thiel’s side and could be unrequited with the line “How come I’d never hear you say, “I just wanna be with you”?" Guess you never felt that way.”

Main take away: Again, after reading on Thiel a year later, I’m left with the same feeling I had last year – that is that people are afraid of Thiel for nothing. People are giving their power away when they fear these billionaires and Trump. Just because they have money doesn’t mean their evil agendas will come to pass. The people of the world are the ones who hold the real power, not the 1% that have amassed wealth that most of us can only dream of. The cards keep telling us that discernment is key during these times. Whenever fear crops up again, turn inward, quiet the noise, and sit with the energy. Vance and Thiel have no significant energy that I can pick up. Both feel like minor players in all this. If I saw something in the cards to be worried about, I’d tell you. But Thiel isn’t it.

Coming: On 7/3/26 on the Free tier, I’ll read on Vance again to see if Thiel’s leaving the US impacts him, and I want to look closer at what Vance’s agenda really is. The cards seem to indicate that his heart really isn’t in the White House. There’s always something weird in his energy that doesn’t add up. I want to see what he really wants and what he’s really doing there. On the paid tier on 7/10/26, I will use the cards to examine what the Tower card coming for Trump is.
