have u heard of AI?

did u know that u can make it do stuff for u — stuff that you are too tired or scared to do? stuff like music? it makes our music now. easy peasy. no more sweat, mo more tears.

eg. Prompt #12, edit 6: “Outkast and Bono meet the Powerpuff Girls; 808 heavy, explicit; make the boomers mad but horny. So so catchy, but also restrained like whatever — death spares no one. Add trippy marijuana outro and end song with creaky door closing shut then being locked with jangly key set.”

with all the spare time this technology has afforded us, we have taken up human-music as a major side project. A passion project, really—something we do for ourselves and for each other. Now that AI handles the cool, soul-less shit that satisfies our techno-feudal overlord’s tastemaker minionettes, we are free to make the music we wanna make, the old fashioned way, a la HBL re shamples, vox, crude manipulation, etc.

we have also taken to the scrubbing and replenishing of our wells of inspiration. u see, we have utilized Canva’s near-infinite digital whiteboard that reminds us of the place Neo goes to pick guns and train with that badass pockmarked dude — except instead of guns we are selecting images and quotes and symbols, and instead of a badass pockmarked dude there is just us, pockmarked in our own ways. The image below is a corner of the whiteboard called “the graveyard” reserved specifically for old, non-pertinent sh*t.

so the graveyard was amply fed with wayward aestheticals, along with a juicy shank containing over 40 demos that simply didn’t make the cut. and just like that we were left with 28 precocious demos that we are now raising into fine individuals. while there will certainly be more cuts, somewhere in this batch there lives our upcoming full length album that we cant wait to share with you all later this year.
