Where has the time gone?

I last posted an update in November, after Aubade Rising had been published for two months and right as I sent my manuscript for book two over to my editor. Gosh that seems like a world ago now…

Well, quite a lot actually! Enough that it will cover more than one update so stay tuned!

Firstly Aubade Rising is no more - after several months of marketing post release and getting great feedback and reviews on the story, it became clearer and clearer that the book was great but actually getting hold of a copy was… challenging. There’s a large lingerie company on Amazon called Aubade and so it was impossible to search for my book and find it amongst the ahem more popular products (the bra’s) and so I asked the opinions of the incredibly generous indie authors that make up the FaRo (fantasy romance society) and took their advice to revamp both the cover and title so it was A) searchable and B) really connected with fantasy romance readers.

And so, Aubade Rising became The Alchemy Before the Dawn.

The process was remarkably quick once I managed to find the most incredible cover designer - Olivia from Fern and Frances Designs and throughout January and early February, Olivia and I worked closely together to bring the cover together. I’m so over the moon with the final result and five months after its initial release, my debut had a makeover and was published!
