September 26th - that’s the day to remember…
There’s only one more week now until I can call myself a published author! That blows my mind! I’m sitting here, typing this with two large boxes of my finished book next to me and I’m in love. The cover, the map inside, the weight of it (all 360+ pages) - it’s everything I dreamed of and more!
Paperbacks have now been finalised and will be available to purchase on the 26th September. It’s not possible to pre-order a paperback in advance from Amazon when you’re a self-published author unfortunately!
eBook pre-orders are open!
If you want to get organised, then you can pre-order the ebook of Aubade Rising and it will be delivered to your kindle on publication day.
Aubade Rising will be part of Kindle Unlimited too so if you’re a subscriber then you can read it as part of your membership once it published.
If physical copies are more your thing, then you can order them from Amazon. The first 50 people that order a physical copy can also get a signed bookplate and some other exciting merchandise posted to them, I just need a screenshot of your order emailed to hayley.pierce.writes@gmail.com and I will post you a surprise!
If you’re coming here from my ARC team, or you’re planning to read Aubade Rising when it releases, please consider leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads - it makes the world of difference to an indie author and I welcome all honest reviews so that Aubade Rising finds its audience!
I mentioned in the last newsletter that I’d commissioned a fantasy map of Trevesiga and I’m so excited to share a sneak peak of it here. The amazing Karina from Shepengul on instagram worked tirelessly to bring this map to life from some very shoddy sketches that I sent.
The kingdom of Trevesiga is connected via imposing aqueducts, allowing the privileged Mordros to travel the kingdom easily. In Aubade Rising, Sage travels across Trevesiga and hopefully this map will bring her quest to life for you.
The map will be available in both the ebook and paperback copies.
A shorter newsletter compared to normal this time because I want to keep an update on book two until next time and I’m busy packing some DIY PR boxes to send to some lovely bookstagram influencers in the hope that they will share Aubade Rising with their audiences. Marketing is still a murky area for me so it’s trial and error until I find something that works!
In the meantime, until we speak again, I’m going to try and steady my nerves and impatiently count down the days until September 26th.
I can’t wait for you to enjoy my book when it comes out next week, please do tag me on social media if you’re sharing your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you!
Thanks for reading,
Hayley
PS: Coming up next time: a behind the scenes insight into publication day, the meaning behind the personal dedication in Aubade Rising and an exciting update on book two!
