There are some advantages to being on TikTok aside from losing hours upon hours of my life doomscrolling and doing nothing productive to enhance my life whatsoever. One of the obvious benefits is stumbling across authors that I have never heard of. No offense to those who have sold so many books they end up on every aisle at Target, but I prefer different and enjoyable reads.
Enter Erik Fox, whom I found back in October of 2025. After immediately ordering his book back then, I did what any normal reader does: placed the book on my shelf along with the other 100 books that I have every intention of reading one day. This time I actually managed to get around to reading it, and not only that, to avoid going all Mitch McConnell on everyone, I dropped my thoughts into episode 50 of the podcast.
