Anyone who’s been to film festivals is familiar with gathering materials for other films and handing out flyers for your own… It’s a real struggle just to get people to remember the name of your film! I heard a great tip from Donny Broussard who said he would make beer koozies with his film’s title on it (which is maybe the best idea ever.)
While not quite a beer koozie, I decided go with something more in line with our DVD club and hand made custom “movie journals” to give out before our world premiere at the Rhode Island Film Festival in August. We made 100, by hand, and will only be available for folks at the fest!
After a quick shopping trip for a: Paper Cutter, Corner Cutter, Binder Stapler, and card stock, we were off to the races.
Linking a video at the bottom to watch the process.
See you at the movies,
MJT
PS: I found this original newspaper article announcing the Avon Cinema grand opening in 1938!
