I have been inspired by a lovely group of songwriters in my local church to stop playing the same four songs on my guitar and to write my own songs! This is frightfully earnest and far too embarrassing a venture to be emailing out to everyone, so consider it a secret Substack app special. Today: Solomon’s Song, based on the dedication of the temple. (Given the subject matter, it is a bit emo.)
You’ll notice the recording is not professional quality. This is because I am not a professional. You’ll also notice my children in the background: They are always with me, and they tried their best to be quiet. You may further notice that I am not particularly good at playing guitar or singing. This is true. But whatever!
