To know me is to know the saying “clarity is kindness, and ambiguity is anxiety.” I birthed the saying in the context of communication in relationships, friendships, professional life, etc. In any case, the kindest thing you can do for someone is be clear with them. When a situation, communication, or future plan is ambiguous, that’s when a storm of anxiety takes the drivers seat, muddling everything in its path.
My college friends know it by heart, every boyfriend has benefited from the saying, and I often circle around to how it applies to almost every situation. Last night when I was doing my nightly rounds of scouring eBay, I couldn’t help but re-contextualize the saying and apply it to the amount of sheer, clear, and gossamer-like garments I’m seeing everywhere. Spring has a certain kindness about it, and it is indubitably linked to the amount of (garment) clarity circulating. Let’s dive in.
