Pride is 365!

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve been okay and I hope that you had a good Pride Month! Overall, June 2022 was amazing! I always mention during discussions that it would’ve been more shocking if I had of been straight, so that means that pretty much I always knew I wasn’t straight. So I’ve been very fortunate to bring myself and openly celebrate Pride months for a majority of my life. However, as I got older, I began experiencing health challenges which years later would find out a lot of them were due to endometriosis.

As many of you know, I’ve experienced bias and mistreatment at doctors appointments, clinics and hospitals. I’ve experienced the comments of “suck it up” and just “get gutted out”. Especially presenting more masculine dealing with an illness that’s still related to femininity. The worse thing is that the comments often come from communities that are marginalized.

With the reversal of Roe vs Wade, with the rise in hate crimes, with the rise of expenses, we have to be there more for each other. If we do not join together and continue to work towards better treatment without bias, if we do not stop our letter bias toward each other (like the L’s and G’s not liking the T’s and B’s etc), if we do not stop our colorism and classism toward each other, then we may risk losing even more freedoms and we may not even be able to go to the doctor because we will have the opposition against us as well as others that we should be able to consider peers.

On a lighter note, I’m pleased to announce new additions to the endoQueer shop, which reflects the diversity within our community. A few images of the new gear is below! The rest is in the shop link!
