I hope that 2023 is treating you well so far. I hope that you’re getting the care that you need. If you follow the endoQueer account on social media, I was proud to accept the Inclusive & Connected Communities award given to us from Endo Black where I made clear during my speech that endometriosis goes beyond womanhood. Then you’ll see the whirlwind that happened in November 2022 as I experienced yet another lung collapse. It doesn’t get easier but it does get somewhat better emotionally when you begin to get a better care team in place and you have supportive people around you. I’m still recovering but I’m remaining as optimistic as possible.
As mentioned in previous discussions, this wasn’t always the case as I had various doctors, different levels of care, not the best support system and different levels of insurance (even not having it al all at times). I will strongly recommend to please reach out to someone (myself included) and online groups if you’re alone. We are still adding to the resource page which is on our website but please check it out as it may be a good resource for yourself or a loved one.
