I took the Metro Rail from Los Angeles City College down to Little Tokyo to meet up with a friend and check out the Little Tokyo Studio Ghibli Flea Market.
The flea market itself was a little underwhelming, but we grabbed some musubi and wandered over to the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, where Tsunagi Matsuri was happening — a student-led Japanese American cultural festival hosted by the UCLA Nikkei Student Union. Super fun. Vibes were high.
Not long after, we found ourselves at Mr. Ramen. Sitting in some AC eating gyoza, ramen and beer. It seemed to be the right call in the 90 degree weather. Then it was time to hit some shops and get back on the train.
