Before rage can be transformed it must be felt. It's a power that destroys and builds new worlds out of chaotic terror. A primal force that cuts through clutter and demands clarity to fight back against tyranny. Use it. Don't internalize it–– let it out.

Has the predator of silence imploded you into a frozen state?

If we don't learn to feel it, we freeze into it as an internalized state of being. Rage is a natural force that brews in our loins, our cells, and the very fibers of our being. It expresses through your creativity and the artist's play with all of life. It's the will to say no. To fight back. To claim the dignity of your right to exist, to protect yourself and others, to be human, to love, to claim space for your safety, and the right live on your own land freely.

Rage is weaponized against us so we numb out as a coping mechanism to survive.

For most my life there's been an inner stop-gap to feeling my own rage. It wasn't safe territory for me so I numbed out. I didn't know I did this because it was my default setting. I didn't set it my default; my cultic upbringing created this inner environment. The imprint was set by the time I was seven years old.

Emotions were considered commotion. In other words –not allowed.

It's been a slow grow for me in this arena of learning to feel my feelings. For many decades I was numb to world affairs as a matter of coping with my undealt with trauma. How could I possibly notice what's happening out there, when my inner world was in such turmoil and disconnect?

I didn't yet see or feel the interconnectivity of our liberation. I couldn't yet see how I was still an agent of white supremacy–albeit, unconsciously.

Systems of tyranny always serve the oppressors, even when we are unconscious agents to upholding them. This is why we must study our history and learn from liberation movements that come before us.

It's only been since 1. getting mental health support, 2. acknowledging I was born in a cult, not a spiritual community and 3. actively doing the work to deprogram from high control group indoctrination that I could begin to see the interconnectedness of the liberation struggle– both in me, and all around me.

My inner deprogramming and cultural deconstruction led me to see and feel the high degree of indoctrination and mind control that's being wielded on the western world in the name of western civilization. While it's not a new tactic, it's hidden in plain sight and must be called out for what it is – psychological abuse and coercive control.

To feel rage is human.

Wake up and feel. Find an outlet, listen to other's stories, bare witness to the horror and name it. Let yourself see and feel the error of humanity amidst several western-backed genocides across Sudan, Congo and Occupied Palestine. Mobilize and organize as the US ramps up campaigns of unlawful deportation and disappearing of marginalized Palestinian activists and everyday brown folx off the streets of numerous states. McCarthyism all over again now in the form of the "antisemitism hoax".

First it starts with them over there. Then they come for you right here.

Don't be fooled by the induced fear tactics or the distortions of words. We must feel our rage and alchemize it into art that transforms – ourselves for bringing it to life, and others for witnessing its raw form.

Find your motion – speak, move, wrestle, scream, organize, write.

Just don't be silent as we witness a US-backed Israeli holocaust of Palestinians in plain sight.
