My Move From 'Windows 11' To 'Mac' Gets Serious ... 'UGREEN' Dock For More Ports, USB-C Display, & New 'Epson' Printer.

I powered up my ‘Mac Mini M4’ 3 weeks ago — on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

I had had it being held HOSTAGE to ‘Windows 11’ Updates.

I hadn’t used a Mac in 28/29 years. Yikes. Wow.

It has NOT been an easy transition. I am getting most things done, BUT the Mac feels CLUNKY, STUPID & Way-Behind-The-Times.

Yes, 30 years ago everything was more elegant & easier on a Mac. I know. That is why I used Macs then.

Now, it appears, the tables have turned. Windows 11 is a MUCH MORE POLISHED interface & experience.

The ONLY thing I hate about Windows 11 are the damn (at least) monthly updates.

After the recent spate of Windows 11 Update NIGHTMARES I just couldn’t take it. Yes, I had one laptop that BRICKED up. Yes, I managed to recover but it was NOT fun.

I need a 2 display setup. That is not negotiable. So, I needed MORE ports. Got a UGREEN 11 port dock for that. It appears to work well. Early days.
