Last Time Easter Sunday Fell On 'April 5' As It Does This Year (2026) Was 11 Years Ago.

11-years is the most common. The ’11’ here has to do with the 7-days in a week coupled with leap-years every 4-years.

Easter, your quintessential ‘movable feast’ can fall between March 22 (since it HAS to be after the Spring Equinox) and April 25 (i.e., essentially the 28-day lunar month).

April 5, as such, is towards the front end.

The last two April 5 Easters followed the 11 year gap nicely — 2026 & 2015.

Prior to that we had a 62 year gap. They happen too … the next most common after 11 years as you can see from the small blue table in the graphic.

The next two April 5 Easters again follow the 11 year gap.
