The Folded Horn Guitar

Audio enthusiasts know that Folded Horns have been used successfully in high-end audio systems for decades. Until recently, nobody had figured out how to put them in guitars

And that is how the Folded Horn Guitar project came into being.

Several years of technical design, prototyping, and some basic trial and error got them to the point where they had a patentable idea. And after a grueling period of documentation and planning, the first of several patents for the project was issued.

Briefly speaking, the guitar is a two-chamber instrument. It utilizes two internal, machined folded horns (waveguides) built into the lower chamber of the body with drivers and electronics. This technology dramatically increases volume while substantially enhancing natural tone in acoustic guitars.

In full disclosure, in my own business, we’re happy to be working closely with Joe Katzenberger, a talented engineer, friend, and the inventor of the Folded Horn Guitar, to take this incredible project to the next level and into the market.

As with any truly revolutionary idea, there are always challenges. But I can honestly say from the front lines that the interest we’ve received since initiating this new phase on August 1 has been nothing short of amazing.
