A recent study reveals that the Old Irish Goat shares a genetic link with domestic goats that lived in Ireland millennia ago. The study, led by University College Dublin and Queen’s University Belfast, suggests that this rare goat breed represents a continuous Irish lineage stretching back 3,000 years to the late Bronze Age.
