After all, the project is a social tool, and it is useless without users. No matter how elegant the code, how pure the decentralization, or how sound the governance model in theory, a tool that people cannot or will not use fulfills no social function. It becomes an artifact, not a utility. If visioned Grin as a technical experiment or personal masterpiece, not as a tool for mass adoption.
Result is:
Bugs persist for years.
Failed roadmap and development promises.
Early developers and talented contributors leaving out of frustration.
New Community Council Formation
A new Grin Governance Council (GCC) has been established, comprising members from both the Community Council (CC) and core contributors. As of 2026, the council has merged 63 Bitcoin allocated for development.

Unstoppable Wallet Integration
A privacy-oriented wallet expressed interest in integrating Grin and has developers ready for the task. While the community was enthusiastic, some GCC members opposed the proposal, preventing its facilitation.
