The United States burns through 50 million pounds of uranium a year. Last year we mined 3 million pounds of it ourselves.

That gap used to be Washington’s problem to ignore. Not anymore.

In April, President Trump invoked the Defense Production Act and declared the U.S. nuclear fuel cycle critical to national security. In May, he signed four executive orders aimed at quadrupling U.S. nuclear capacity by 2050. In January, the Department of Energy put $2.7 billion behind expanding domestic enrichment.

This isn’t a slow-moving policy story anymore. It’s a uranium renaissance being engineered from the top down, and it’s happening fast.

We sat down with Brooke Clements, CEO of North Shore Uranium (TSX-V: NSU | OTCQB: NSURF), to talk about where his company fits into that picture, including the latest from the Rio Puerco project and what comes next as drilling continues.
