Grace Desmarais · Grace Desmarais

I’m excited to share a couple updates coming to the Comics Ops Newsletter as of this email/post!

I’ve received significant interest in doing career development specific emails. Thus, I’ve decided to add a quarterly email with specific topics discussing my own approach to these subjects. My first will cover tabling at comics festivals.

In addition to these, I’ve also decided to highlight a specific artist every newsletter. These are artists who have significant resources available for the community. These highlights will come at the end of the email, below the Continuing Education section of the newsletter. None of these will be sponsored in anyway, they are simply artists I admire for their work and professionalism.

Lastly, I have some events coming up in these coming months. I’d love to meet you all in person. Those will be posted at the top of the email for some shameless self-promotion. I hope these additions to the newsletter will enrich your own art practice in whatever way suits you.

Reminder that any ongoing ops are removed after a three-month cycle, allowing space for new opportunities.

All links to an opportunity are in its header. To submit an available opportunity fill out this form.

April 11, I will be at Comics Arts Portland Maine as part of a panel on Emerging Artists Career Development featuring brilliant artists Erin Roseberry, Robyn Smith, Sadie Saunders, and myself. I will also be tabling and selling my work at CAMP
