My Milan Design Week 2026 Edit

Around March 20th, the invitations for Milan Design Week started hitting my inbox, right around the time all of my friends began texting flight details and dinner plans.

Every invitation seems to arrive in some new format: 24-hour time, a different time zone, a QR code, an address I need to place somewhere in Milan alongside all the other addresses, and an implied understanding that I know exactly when I’m meant to be where.

Last year was my first time experiencing the week, which means this year I have a clearer sense of what I actually want to see and how much time I need to buffer for loitering outside apartment buildings, admiring their grand foyers, discussing trash can designs in the metro, and vintage shopping with my best friend.

Now that we’re 10 days shy of slipping into character, with our two cheek kisses, ciaooo, and an aperitivo suggested at any available hour, I thought I’d share my personal edit after combing through what’s to come.

Baccarat, Crystal Crypt

Titled Crystal Crypt, the brand returns to MDW after a four-year hiatus with an immersive, sci-fi-inspired installation by artist Emmanuelle Luciani.

Alcova

In its eleventh edition, Alcova will host its fair at Baggio Military Hospital and Villa Pestarini, which is opening to the public for the first time. Over 120 names are exhibiting, and I’m really excited to see the new venue.

Bocci, Light as a Medium

Bocci returns to Milan Design Week with Light as Medium, a new exhibition of Omer Arbel’s work curated by David Alhadeff inside the brand’s historic Milan apartment. The show transforms the home into a series of immersive rooms.

Convey

Now in its fourth edition and put on by Simple Flair, Convey is both a five-story exhibition space and the name of this show, bringing together more than 20 international brands. I think it’s really important to balance your itinerary with both the large-scale brands and emerging ones–they directly inform each other. Some names I’m excited to see in the lineup: Joshi/Greene, Completedworks, and guest designer, Rooms Studio.

Jill Sander x Apartamento, Reference Library

In a week that can so easily become about optimizing for more, more parties, more visuals, more movement, Jil Sander and Apartamento’s Reference Library feels like the perfect pause. It’s also such an unexpectedly elegant pairing. Entry is booked in 60-minute time slots, and white gloves are provided.

The Eames Office and Kettal, The Eames Houses Exhibition

Anything that offers a deeper look into how Charles and Ray Eames thought about living immediately has my attention, but this feels especially major. More than an exhibition, it marks the debut of the Eames Pavilion System, translating their residential architecture into a modular system for contemporary living, which feels like exactly the kind of bridge between archive and everyday life I’m always drawn to.

6:AM, Over and Over and Over and Over

The glass lighting and objects brand really knows how to put on a show, and I expect this one, hosted in the historic Piscina Romano (a public swimming pool complex), to be no different.

Kohler x Flamingo Estate, The Bathhouse

If you know Flamingo Estate’s origin story, then this partnership makes a lot of sense. Together, the brands present sculptural pollinator baths cast at Kohler’s historic Wisconsin foundry in a multi-sensory garden exhibition.

Casa Milana, BENI, and Laguna~B

I loved reading about Mario Milana and Gabriella Campagna’s home in T Magazine, so the chance to actually step inside the apartment feels especially exciting. I’m nosy and deeply interested in how people live, it’s literally why I created Surroundings, so seeing Mario Milana’s new furniture alongside exclusive capsules with BENI and Laguna~B in the home itself feels like the ideal way to experience it.

USM x Snøhetta x Annabelle Schneider, Renaissance of the Real

Ever since the USM bathroom that was presented during last year’s Milan Design Week, I’ve been locked in. This year, in partnership with Snøhetta and Annabelle Schneider, they’re presenting Renaissance of the Real, a multisensory installation at Fondazione Luigi Rovati that explores presence, physical space, and what it means to reconnect with the body in an increasingly digital world.

Kelly Wearstler x H&M Home

There’s something especially interesting to me about a mass retailer like H&M Home making its Milan Design Week debut through a collaboration with Kelly Wearstler, and doing so inside a palazzo rarely open to the public.

Tacchini x Faye Toogood, Material Anthology

I’m such a Faye Toogood fan, so I love that this installation focuses on the raw materials and fragments behind the finished pieces.
