Yes, that is the image [above] that most sums up how most of America is feeling right now. Trying to wrap our minds around the carnage Chump has caused this nation, our America, in less that one year, in just 344 days, it is inconceivable to contemplate another 1116.5 days of Chump MAGA Fascism, with greater and greater lawlessness and destruction to our beloved institutions. Our ballast against our enemies.
Trump’s ratings today, if one counts the unsure 4% as part of the unfavorable [56%], would give him a 60% disapproval rate. I suspect MANY in the 39% are too scared to state publicly that they disapprove of him. Rather, they save face. Joe Biden’s disapproval rate was not as bad as this when he left office. You have a person [??] in the Oval Office who CHEERS the death of a citizen when the man’s son slits his throat due to mental illness. Sick as that was— this is the reality. Trump actually did this. This is the joker, the evil creature sitting in the White House dreaming up our next nightmare. Grinchish does not even come close to describing the depths of his malignant nature.
As the New Year beckons us into 2026, I would urge all my American neighbours, fellow citizens, and those abroad watching this tableaux of horror around the world, form small “cells” of trusted confidants and support structures that you can rely on and access if systems go down or Trump attempts to use the military to control the entire population. He certainly is moving in that direction by his spread of terror and paranoia. Do not fall victim to this illusion of his strength—there are many indications of this regime’s weakness. And by his decisions, Trump moves us closer and closer to complete economic disaster—implosion. Trump is an experienced conman and has been his entire life. And he has robbed the public purse his entire life, evading taxation. He has sold secrets to Russia. He has given over publicly to Putin. Chump is a Russian asset. He is also a puppet to Netanyahu.
Think about the Underground Railroad—how successful that was as a means of saving lives and freeing individuals who were suffering under incredible torment, locked in slavery. Today, while we do not know what lies ahead, we do need to use our current freedom to create a “resistance railroad” which can do similar work to help immigrants who are not criminals escape to safety or hide them in safety until this crisis passes. Hide them and care for them, or help them to find passage to safety. This is the humane thing to do. The entire situation has created a volatile environment where citizen is pitted against citizen, and an immigrant, no matter how long they have been in the country, nor how legally, they are at risk of being sent into unimaginable Hells where they have no control at all of their safety, and perhaps no hope of escape. No way of surviving. Imagine in these enormous encampments, with thousands of people in varying stages of shock, starvation, abuse, problems with health, all crammed in together in off-the-charts horrific conditions— ON OUR TAX DOLLARS, by the way—and the power goes out because data centers are more important to this administration than human lives.
For these people held in such horrific conditions WILL die like flies and it is highly unlikely even with power, the heat will not be lethal for them with such overcrowding. That is on us if they die. That is on us now, where they are, their suffering, and the growing number of deaths among those held. THAT IS ON US. WE WILL HAVE TO GO LATER TO SEE THEIR CORPSES AND THEIR EMACIATED BODIES WHEN THIS CRUEL CLOWNSHOW ENDS. IF IT DOES.
In Good Grief, we do grieve for these people, and for our culpability as Americans in allowing this travesty to continue to happen. We wish that we could move our town wholly into Canada, but the reality is that the greater part of the town actually sits in the USA. I am fortunate that, although my property straddles the border with most of it in the USA, my taxes are paid to Canada, and my address is a Canadian address: my front door faces into Quebec. Into Bon Sang, Canada, not into Good Grief, America. We not only grieve, here we feel physically ill, thinking about what is happening. If you are not ill, are you indeed human? These people who are being rounded up are being treated similarly to former slaves when apprehended. Most of them are not criminals. Yet each of them, criminal or not a criminal, have a right under American law to due process. I do not believe they are all receiving due process. I don’t even know if anyone is still fighting for them to receive due process before being disappeared somewhere, whether in the country, or beyond it. The situation has become so absurd and out-of-control, many citizens, I think, are beginning to tune OUT because they are overwhelmed from 344 days of utter chaos. And that is exactly Chump’s plan.
Chump WANTS you to tune out.
What we have found, in Good Grief, is that our best plan is to put all of our minds to work on our resistance. A solid plan for our town to be active in resisting. Every person has a role they can excel at within that plan. Nothing is written down. But we all know our jobs, and we all know what we can do should the grid ever go down. Because they will stop at nothing to prevent your voting in November if you are against Fascism in America, against this criminal administration. They will gerrymander, they will attempt “to fix”, the election, they will lie, they will send ICE out into cities and areas to terrorize, they will buy votes, they will attempt to do away with mail-in voting, they will propagandize on social media out their wazoo. They will try to pass laws which will make it mandatory to show ID like a passport or birth certificate to vote, even though many Americans have no such ID as it has never been demanded in the past [those specific and expensive items]. Citizens do, already, however, have to prove their identity. Moreover, voter fraud has been proven to be a non-issue in the USA.
We are resisting here in Good Grief, on the border. We will not go down any road to Fascism, no more than in Washington’s time, nor in Lincoln’s time. We are resolved. We know what we must do when this fight is over, but for now we must OUST this pedophile would-be king who is intent on bringing America to her knees—at the behest of foreign money and a few too many Tech Bro American billionaires. Foreign dictators and insider traitors colluding with one another.
We will protect our innocent immigrants—those who are indeed innocent of crime. We will bring them food in their homes; we will escort their children to school; and we will warn them of ICE raids—just as they have done in Minnesota, peacefully. No official from our town, our county, our state governor—none will ALLOW Americans to be killed in American streets by ICE, by the National Guard, by the American military. We will be in the streets en masse should this ever happen and calling in the American resistance from elsewhere. We are not a Fascist state and we do not follow anything but our American Constitutional laws.
Our so-called president does not follow any laws. He and his administration have proven themselves to be lawless, and they have forfeited their right to lead. Our representatives in Congress, most MAGA senators, and most MAGA state representatives, are corrupt and have refused for a full year, to DO their jobs and serve the people’s interests. Instead they serve only Trump’s interests, ignoring the Constitution. We have watched in horror as they voted to magnify the debtload, seriously reduce health coverage for Americans, destroy education in this country, destroy science, destroy our health systems. And the results are staggering already. It will take YEARS, if not decades, to repair the damage Trump has wrought in just a few short months.
Prepare for a blackout situation. Hoard food, foods that keep in heat or can be preserved from heat or cold. Take time to research: figure it out as a resistance group and do not reinvent any wheel. Work together to plan communication systems should the internet fail. Use simple, yet ingenious codes. Develop circles of trust. You cannot trust just anyone, not anymore. Know your circle of trust. Help one another. Get your children to make posters and signs to carry. Get them involved. Do not try to protect them as then they will not understand IF things get really bad. They need to know what is happening. Know your rights and insist on them, calmly. Make sure that your children also know their rights. Trying to protect them from thinking of what is actually occuring is foolhardy as then they will be totally unprepared should the worst happen. You have to realize Chump IS a madman and supported in the White House by madmen, and they KNOW they will go to jail if they are defeated. Therefore, they will stop at nothing to ensure that does not happen. They are panicking. But we, the people, must be fully resolved and operating as a committed foe of this regime if we are to oust the traitors.
It is very interesting how Citizens United was passed into law just two years after the 2008 meltdown. Think about that coincidence. The 2008 HEIST was just the beginning of this HEIST. And that is precisely what it is—a HEIST of such disgraceful magnitude that people cannot get their heads around it.
There are a few things Chump can be thanked for—to hasten our full understanding of the absolute travesty this administration represents:
Proving to us just how dangerous moving too far right or too far left can be, as this only serves the purposes of those foreign countries who want to defeat America, EXACTLY as they are moving to do now using Chump as their cudgel.
Informing women in no uncertain terms of just how much they are despised by MAGA men and Chump enablers. Sycophants.. And Trumpstein pedophile actors and enablers. We have learned how precarious and relatively NEW women’s rights are and that they must be fiercely defended by both women [all women] and men who understand that recognition of women’s equality benefits society. Just as critical human rights for all are equally important. This is human decency.
Understanding just how depraved this so-called leadership actually is, and how corrupted to the core American politics has become since Citizens United—and that that law MUST be revoked, defeated, removed.
That certain right wing Supreme Court Justices must be impeached and laws introduced to shorten the tenure of the surpeme court justices. And to make corruption of the Supreme Court an impeachable offense if caught being bribed, or influenced in any way by outside parties, or by partisan politics.
Big Tech and Big companies must be broken up and more healthy competition encouraged in the marketplace. No money must be allowed to flow from corporations anywhere to American political parties.
The Glass-Steagalls Act needs to be reinstated. Immediately.
Corruption [practices of] between Wall Street and Congress must be stopped in its tracks, absolutely. Laws put in place to prevent this.
The money Chump has made while president [or his family due to him serving as president] in both terms needs to be repaid into the nation’s coffers. As well as any taxes he avoided paying from his years in business [through decades of criminal tax evasion].
All laws made by Trump need to be reversed automatically when he is impeached by the 25th Amendment and his administration rendered null and void. [any power they hold]
Those administration members and Trump himself need to be arrested and charged with every Constitutional law they have each broken while in the presidency—in Trump’s case everything that cannot in any way be deemed part of his duties. For one thing, it is NOT part of his duty as president to prevent a law being followed to the letter, as in the Trumpstein files not being released—every single one of those files released and by the 19th of December, 2025, as per the law. Which they were not.
How inadequate the Democratic leadership actually is. They are advocating next week Democrats NOT come to the State of the Union speech if they cannot remain quiet. This is insane advice. EVERY DEMOCRAT should be singing in harmony the national anthem when Trump lies or makes inflammatory comments. Every DEMOCRAT should be prepared to chant the Constitution en masse in unison also when Chump lies or makes incendiary remarks—calmly, loudly, and unified—every single one of them. This would demonstrate they are not afraid of him and his bullying, lawless tactics. That they are not afraid of whatever this incites him to do, and they will with relentless focus resist his lies and bullying tactics. Citizens will see if any violence is used against lawmakers for making protest against a lawless, lying, Fascist so-called leader flagrantly gaslighting Congress to their faces. Gaslighting you the people. They will understand that Democrats are willing to use everything in their arsenal to defeat EVIL in the White House. With the release of the Trumpstein files, there is NO DOUBT that pure EVIL is the force behind this regime.
We have learned, the American people, including many MAGA, that this regime is intent on America’s destruction.
