A while ago, I came up with a plan to host a monthly Zoom where we looked at our finances - checked bills, subscriptions, maybe pension contributions - together, just a bit of moral support while doing the jobs we'd probably been putting off.
I learned, pretty swiftly, that I do not enjoy hosting Zooms.
(I’m going to be writing about this more soon, particularly on how it relates to my whole money coaching career change plan.)
But! I do think regular check-ins are valuable and I actually really enjoy mine. When I realise a new month is coming up, I'm excited to open my spreadsheet and see where things stand.
So I thought we could do it together here instead.
Yes, it would have been better for me to have done this at the start of the year, but in my defence… I only just thought of it.
But also, the beginning of the year is so busy and often we don’t want to think about money since we’ve likely just spent a massive chunk of it.
Also, if you made big money plans (or even small ones) at the start of the year, you may have forgotten about them by now.
So let’s refocus.
