One recent evening I went batting.

I’m still getting back on my feet dear friends, but here are some recent sights that made me smile:

Dear friends,

I’m 500 miles away of from the park today, up in Eugene Oregon, where my brother is dying.

In honor of prom season, Rec and Park held its own Senior Prom at the County Fair Building yesterday afternoon.

There are a dozen lakes in Golden Gate Park, each with a special charm.

Gabriel Ortega leads the Rec and Park nursery—and as far as he’s concerned, “it’s the best job in the department.” With a small but dedicated team of four, he spends his days growing and caring for the wide variety of plants that help keep parks across the city lush, green, and welcoming.

Here’s one of more esoteric rites of spring in the park.

"He asked me if I could spade. I said yes."
