Your goal today is simple: seduce enough fans to exist.
Without fans, you won’t be able to sell any kind of product in this hyper-competitive world. Followers are not enough—you must turn those followers into true fans.
We no longer live in the old world where you’d walk into a supermarket and find only one option on the shelf. Now, every product or service has a competitor just one click away. The problem for people today isn’t scarcity—it’s abundance. With so many choices available, attention has become the most valuable currency.
To sell your product or service, you must attract, engage, and continually seduce your fans. If people aren’t true fans of your work, their loyalty will be short-lived. They’ll leave you for a competitor over a single euro of price difference. That’s why you must invest time and attention into caring for your community—so you stay top of mind. The moment you disappear, they’ll abandon you without hesitation.
Even when you’re desperate to sell, you should never appear desperate in the marketplace. Desperation isn’t attractive. To seduce your audience, you cannot look miserable, needy, or insecure. You must project abundance—you must be seen as someone who always has a solution, as that guy, the hero, the provider of answers.
People want magic to solve their problems. You must be that magician.
Kevin Kelly once wrote that you only need 1,000 true fans to make a living from your art. That principle remains as relevant today as ever. If you’re a small creator, 1,000 true fans can sustain you. If you’re a larger brand, you need far more—you need true fans with deep pockets. Because if those 1,000 “true fans” are broke, so are you. They won’t be able to afford your products. They’ll keep asking for more and more for free, and if you give too much away, you won’t survive.
So your mission is clear: seduce enough fans to exist.
Think about it. Even if you have 30,000 subscribers, that’s the equivalent of a small stadium filled with people who chose to pay attention to you. That’s a huge success. Among the billions of people in the world, there are at least a thousand who would love what you create—if only they could see it.
Your job is to find those people who can’t live without your work. To turn dream customers into loyal fans, you must encourage their dreams and make their lives a little better. When you improve their world, even slightly, they’ll reward you with trust and loyalty.
If you can have 70 followers, you can have 1,000. If you can have 1,000, you can have 10,000. And if you can reach 10,000, you can reach 100,000. The key is consistency—and consistency, over time, compounds into influence. That’s a real business.
But there’s a new challenge. Already today, AI-generated content surpasses human-generated content globally. A year from now, you’ll be suffocating under an ocean of AI-created material. If you don’t seduce your audience—if you don’t give them a reason to care—you’ll vanish beneath that flood.
Seducing your audience isn’t optional anymore. It’s survival.
Being generic, average, or mediocre will no longer be enough. AI is already the greatest writer, the greatest content creator—the GOAT—and within a year, it will be millions of times more powerful. The only advantage you’ll have left is your human magnetism—your ability to seduce, connect, and make people feel.
That’s the game now: seduce or disappear.
