Create a simple, rhythmic money mantra

I remember reading the book The Inner Game of Tennis, which explains the concept of Self 1 and Self 2.

The author describes Self 1 as slow and cognitive, driven mostly by the neocortex. It overthinks almost everything.

Self 2, on the other hand, is the subconscious mind, the autonomic system that actually runs most of our lives.

The problem is that we don’t trust Self 2, because we live in a culture of overthinking. As a result, our actions become paralyzed by Self 1.

For this reason, we need to create rhythmic mantras that free us from the burden of overthinking every single step.

We become more like musicians, living in flow, guided by rhythm rather than constant analysis.

Life can become genuinely pleasurable when you introduce rhythm into your daily activities. Even making money can be translated into rhythmic money mantras.

With these mantras, your focus anchors on the process instead of the outcome.

One of the biggest obstacles to reaching goals is fear of action. A rhythmic practice helps dissolve that fear. Rhythm pulls you forward when thinking would otherwise stop you.

The secret to all success is action. If you don’t act, you get no feedback. Without feedback, you cannot adjust your behavior, and without adjustment, you cannot win.

If you never try to hit the ball, you will never learn how to hit the ball. If you never learn to hit the ball, you will never become a tennis player. And if you never become a tennis player, there is no chance you will ever become a champion. This is how winning actually works.

That is why daily action is mandatory in every field. It starts with creating a rhythmic mantra for yourself.

For example, if you are an entrepreneur, you might create a money mantra. If you are a coach who runs workshops, your mantra could be something as simple as:

“Invite, get paid, teach.”

Consistent action is essential, because your nervous system does not update identity through intention alone. It updates identity through training and a history of action.

If you have never acted like a tennis player, your nervous system will not believe that you are one. You cannot trick it.

This is why visualization alone does not work. Many books talk about the power of visualization, but visualization without action does not reprogram the nervous system.

The nervous system believes evidence. It believes what you have repeatedly done.

The more you do something, the more your nervous system accepts that this is who you are.
