While it’s been mostly a slow summer, there are some news stories worth quickly touching on:

📰 Lilly’s triple agonist, retatrutide, successful in two additional Phase 3 obesity trials, delivering significant improvements in weight and A1C

Retatrutide continues to deliver outstanding results:

In TRIUMPH-3, adults with severe obesity and established cardiovascular disease, with or without type 2 diabetes, lost up to an average of 55.8 lbs (22.6%) at 80 weeks

While we thought we’d get a submission (and approval) within the year for Retatrutide, it looks like Eli Lilly is plans to submit it’s triple agonist to the FDA in Q1 of 2027, due to delays in Eli Lilly acquiring their Biologics license approval

[Eli] Lilly is completing the comprehensive Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) data package required for a Biologics License Application (BLA) and plans to subsequently submit retatrutide in Q1 2027 for U.S. approval.
