If your online realm happens to be calibrated similarly to mine, you will not have missed the fact that last night’s full moon - the Strawberry Moon - coincided with the beginning of Mercury Retrograde. Starting on the 29th of June and up until the 23rd of July, “there is a confluence of planetary changes happening in a very short amount of time”, as Deborah Lynna puts it.
A full moon in Capricorn (logic, structure and planning). Mercury, the planet of the mind and communication, going retrograde in Cancer (emotions, sensitivity, vulnerability).
Warnings appear before me:
“An emotional minefield”

“Do not get involved in any drama, especially of the family kind. Avoid family feuds!”

I’ve also heard this: Mercury retrograde does not wound you, it only makes you aware of the wounds you already had. And I personally appreciate a good old revelatory moment or tool (something I value about Tarot, as well).
I see nostalgia mentioned a lot, too. People from your past potentially reaching out (such a classic). When in doubt, do not engage. Do not give into the comfort of familiarity, lest it cements you into a version of yourself and your life you’d do better outgrowing.

No matter how much you or I do or do not give credence to these things, I’d be dishonest if I said all this didn’t resonate currently.
Several uncomfortable and sad facts of life have me feeling somewhat desperate and alone (and I believe grief and health concerns in particular, especially as a woman, do carry a certain amount of in-built isolation and solitude with them).
I am often mulling over the past (you know that saying “no watter how often you revisit the past, there’s nothing new to see” - I have always vehemently disagreed with that). I am tempted to confront and give a piece of my mind. But I am taking heed of these warnings brought to me in purple neon font on late night TikTok. I am swallowing any impulsivity, trying to stay present.
I created the below mix today as a way to channel these urges and relax into this month ahead - it’s one of my favourite mixes to date, very intuitive (dare I say impulsive, haha), not as much fussing as I usually am prone to. Letting my Aries Sun/Cancer Moon flag fly freely. Aiming to work through (or with?) the pain point.
We are all alone, floating on this rock in space, except for brief, sacred moments when we are not. I hope you enjoy.
