📖 Launching Global Campus Alumni Stories – Issue No. 1
We are proud to present the inaugural issue of Global Campus Alumni Stories – Many Paths, One Commitment to Human Rights. This publication showcases the diverse impact of our 4,600+ graduates across eight regional programmes, featuring personal reflections from alumni working as activists, policymakers, journalists, and practitioners worldwide. From media freedom to environmental justice, these stories highlight how human rights education translates into meaningful global action.

🍽️ Act Against Forced Starvation
In a collaboration between alumni from various regions and the GC E-learning Department, we are launching “Act Against Forced Starvation.” This educational digital tool is designed to equip you with a deeper understanding of the weaponisation of starvation. Featuring thematic modules on international law, lived experiences, and accountability, the resource includes contributions from Right Livelihood Laureates and Global Campus experts. We invite you to explore these materials and join the call for justice and prevention.

🌍 New Publication: The State of Democracy in Africa
A collaborative effort between alumni from the Africa and Arab regions has resulted in the publication of The State of Democracy in Africa. This book features 35 contributors from 31 countries who provide personal and academic insights into challenges such as corruption, freedom of expression, and institutional strength. It is a powerful testament to the potential of cross-regional alumni collaboration and a hopeful look at the future of democratic governance. The project took place as part of the GCA cross-regional alumni-led activities.
👷 Call for Experts: Business & Human Rights Training
The GC Training and Project Department is developing a new training package focused on human rights due diligence and ethical decarbonisation within the construction sector. We are looking to map professionals with expertise in corporate settings, capacity building, and programme design to help adapt these tools to regional contexts. 🎓 Finalizing the GC Upskilling Programme
We are grateful to our alumni speakers and participants who made this first round of the Alumni Upskilling a wonderful success. The sessions covered Strategic Foresight, Human Rights in the Finance Industry, Sustainability in Business Processes, Media Monitoring, and Evaluation in International Development. The overall feedback was excellent, and certificates have been shared with participants. Stay tuned for future trainings designed to equip you with the tools for an impactful human rights career.
