We hope this finds you well. Here are the latest updates and opportunities from across the Global Campus Alumni network.

Registration is now open for the new edition of the Global Campus Alumni Careers Orientation. Across five online sessions, alumni will receive practical guidance on navigating the human rights job market, preparing strong applications, succeeding in interviews, expanding professional networks, and developing mentoring skills. The final session also serves as a pathway into the GCA Mentoring Programme 2026/27.

Applications are open for the Cross-Regional School on Climate Action and Human Rights, an intensive programme taking place in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, from 12–17 October 2026. The School brings together students, researchers, civil society actors and young professionals to explore climate governance, environmental justice and human rights through an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented approach.

Global Campus alumni from the eligible regions are encouraged to apply.

The Human Rights Defender Exchange (HRDx) has launched a new two-year mentoring programme for early-career scholars from the Global Majority researching human rights defenders and human rights activism. Participants will benefit from international mentoring, academic writing support, networking opportunities, career development activities and an international writing workshop in Indonesia.

The SIMA Awards 2027 will soon open for submissions, recognising outstanding documentary storytelling and social impact media from around the world. Alumni who have recently completed documentary films, impact videos or other eligible media projects addressing human rights and social justice are encouraged to explore this opportunity.

The current cycle of Global Campus Alumni Cross-Regional Projects is coming to a close, and we are beginning to share the outputs developed by alumni teams from across our regional programmes. Over the coming weeks, we will be featuring publications, policy briefs, toolkits, documentaries, research papers and other resources that showcase the impact of cross-regional alumni collaboration. We look forward to sharing these inspiring initiatives with you.
