Beat 345 of my DrumBeatProject 8.17.26 on stage in Nijmagen, NL. I was messing around with my wand sticks and this one happened. I chose to include it in the project mainly for the hi-hat openings hemiola and the sparse but impactful bass drum part. Those combined with the tinging wands give this one a certain charm that I really like. My wand supply just got replenished thanks to a gift from my college professor, Jim Campbell. Since I now have plenty of backups, I wasn’t hesitant to lay into the drums with these brittle beauties. Thanks to my Wilco tech, Chris Dowis, for his camera work!
