After 3 years, she realized that her small pleasures were no longer there. In a job of egos and status, she didn’t eat rice and beans or chicken noodles. There were Caprese salads, quiches, natural foods and gourmet ice cream, but no beer, São Paulo or anything she had learned to like in her own house.

She started playing Candy Crush when she went to the bathroom.
