Now, let’s get into this week’s biggest fashion stories 💚

Kering has appointed Romain Spitzer as the new CEO of Bottega Veneta.

With more than 30 years of experience in luxury, Spitzer will work alongside creative director Louise Trotter to guide the house through its next phase of growth.

Just a quick reminder: behind every creative vision, there is also a strong business strategy.

Olivier Rousteing has officially joined Rabanne as creative director after 14 years at Balmain.

He succeeds Julien Dossena, who spent 13 years modernizing the house’s futuristic heritage.

Rousteing will present his first Rabanne runway collection during Paris Fashion Week in March 2027, and this is already one of the most anticipated debuts of the year.

Brandon Tan is returning to GQ as Global Fashion Director.

Tan previously worked as the magazine’s fashion editor before joining Hearst, where he led fashion at Cosmopolitan and Seventeen.

His return is a great reminder that fashion careers are rarely linear and that leaving a company does not always mean closing that door forever.

La Perla has appointed former Gucci and Valentino executive Alessio Vannetti as its new CEO.

The appointment is part of the Italian lingerie house’s turnaround strategy following its acquisition out of bankruptcy.

The challenge will now be to protect La Perla’s heritage while making the brand relevant to today’s luxury customer.

Dolce & Gabbana returned to Taormina, where the house first launched Alta Moda in 2012.

The Alta Moda collection, titled Le Devote dell’Olimpo, transformed flowers, mythology, lace, gold, and Sicilian craftsmanship into dramatic couture creations.

For Alta Sartoria, the Teatro Antico became the setting for a collection inspired by Cavalleria Rusticana, exploring honor, masculinity, and the social meaning of tailoring.

The shows were another beautiful example of how fashion storytelling combines clothes, culture, location, music, and craftsmanship.

Chanel has chosen singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams as the face of its new Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu fragrance.

Abrams already works with the house across fashion and jewelry, making this the next step in a long-term ambassador relationship.

It is a smart partnership that connects Chanel with a younger generation while remaining aligned with the house’s elegant and independent spirit.

Gap has collaborated with Hailey Bieber on a limited-edition denim capsule inspired by 1990s style.

The collection includes two relaxed jean silhouettes that reflect Bieber’s own everyday wardrobe.

It feels authentic because the product is already part of her personal image, rather than a random celebrity collaboration.

Zendaya, during the premiere of The Odyssey, continues to amaze everyone

Zendaya delivered another unforgettable fashion moment at the New York premiere of The Odyssey, wearing a white winged gown by Matières Fécales.

But the most incredible part of the story is that Law Roach had asked the brand to reserve the dress for Zendaya more than two years earlier.

The house reportedly declined other requests to keep the creation available for what it believed would eventually be the right occasion. That occasion finally arrived with The Odyssey.

Fashion Portfolio Guide: How to Build One Without an Internship

If you want to work in fashion but you keep hearing the same frustrating feedback, you are not alone.

“I don’t have experience yet.”

“I’ve never worked for a fashion brand.”

“I don’t have anything to show in my portfolio.”

Here is the truth I discovered after years of working in fashion and mentoring thousands of students:

You do not need an internship (or any previous experience) to build a fashion portfolio.

What you actually need is proof that you can think and work like someone already in the industry.(and you know what?)

Inside our Summer Fashion Camp, you can discover how
