Hello from Korea! I’m on my annual trip to the other side of the world to visit family. Despite that I somehow still have a lot to report in this month’s mailer. Read on!

I’ve started a world building project that is being hosted on my Patreon. It’s all about my world, Obron, in both its fantasy and sci-fi (aka NOVA) versions. This month’s posts have been free for anyone to check out, though going forward future posts will be for patron’s only. I’ve added a $1 Obron only tier for people who just want to see that project, without my other game design stuff.

Speaking of Patreon, I’ve been posting a ton of game stuff there lately. Most of it has been for my game currently titled LORE. This is a generic fantasy system that uses a d20 (I still feel crazy even writing that sentence). I think I’ve got some cool twists on expectations with this one, and the subclass system allows me to flex my class design skills.
I really encourage you to become a Patron in order to get access to this stuff and more. Over time it will be shared more publicly, but Patrons get first dibs.
Just this morning I finished the draft for the Harlequin subclass for Rogues. You switch the fight between a Comedy and Tragedy, gaining different effects depending on the genre. All the world is a stage, including fantasy fights!
I’ll be headed back to the states soon, where I’ll recover from jetlag only to get exhausted in a new way as I prepare for GenCon.
