You gorgeous, filthy-minded humans.
I’ve been quiet this month. No new release, no launch chaos, no countdown timers ticking toward something explosive. Just me, my coffee, my border collies stealing the good couch cushion, and a garden that is currently winning the war against my tomatoes.
But quiet doesn’t mean idle. And it definitely doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about you.
First, the important thing: thank you. Some of you have been leaving reviews, sending messages, recommending the series to friends who “need something spicy but with actual characters,” and every single one of those gestures matters more than you know. Reviews are the lifeblood of indie authors. They’re how new readers find us. They’re how algorithms decide we exist. They’re the difference between a book sitting quietly in a corner and a book being handed to the woman who desperately needs it on a Tuesday night after a long week.
So if you’ve left one, genuinely, thank you. And if you haven’t yet, I’ll circle back to that. Because I have no shame.
Now. If you’ve been meaning to catch up on Lexy and her men and you keep putting it off, this is your month. No new release means no pressure, no spoilers flying around, no feeling like you’re behind. Pour something you shouldn’t be drinking on a weeknight, settle into whatever position suits you best, and start wherever you left off. THREE is just the beginning and the one that started everything with a proposal Lexy didn’t see coming. MELT is the latest, and it’s the one readers keep telling me made them forget they were on public transit. The whole series is on Kindle Unlimited, so there’s genuinely no excuse. Browse the full series here.
And if dark romance is more your speed, THE CAVE is still waiting. Steele St. Clair doesn’t get less dangerous with time. He just gets more patient.
5 Tips for Getting Wet ’n Wild This Spring Break
Since we’re in a between-releases lull and the weather is finally warming up, I thought I’d let my favourite characters do the talking this month. Consider this their personal advice for making the most of your spring. You’re welcome. And I’m not responsible for what happens next.
Say yes before you’re ready. — Lexy Davenport
“The best things I’ve ever done started with a racing pulse and the quiet, reckless thought: why not? You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to stop talking yourself out of what your body already knows it wants. Spring is for thawing, darling. Let yourself.”
Make a mess. Worry about the sheets later. — Ty
“Listen. Nobody ever had the time of their life by being careful. Bring the sunscreen and the tequila and the terrible ideas. Laugh too loud. Flirt with the bartender. Kiss someone in the rain, or in the pool, or against a wall you probably shouldn’t be leaning on. Spring break isn’t for playing it safe. That’s what January is for.”
Know what you want. Then ask for it with your whole chest. — Evan
“There’s nothing sexier than a woman who knows exactly what she wants and doesn’t flinch when she says it out loud. Don’t hint. Don’t hope someone reads the room. The room is dark and everyone is guessing. Turn the lights on. Say the thing. You’ll be surprised how quickly the right people respond.”
Take the slower road. It’s always worth it. — Liam
“Everyone’s in such a rush. To the destination, to the finish, to the part where they think the good bit starts. But I’ll tell you something I learned back home in Ireland: the winding road is the good bit. Take your time. Sit with the whiskey before you drink it. Let the tension build. Anticipation is the most underrated form of foreplay, and spring has plenty of long, warm evenings for it.”
Stop waiting for permission. — Steele St. Clair
“You want the trip? Book it. You want the dress that makes you feel dangerous? Wear it. You want the thing you keep thinking about at 2 a.m. when the house is quiet and your hand is under the covers? Go get it. Nobody is coming to hand you the life you actually want. Spring break is as good an excuse as any to stop asking and start taking.”
There you have it. Five characters, five philosophies, one unanimous opinion: you deserve a spring break that leaves a mark. Preferably in a fun place.
Now for the actual news, because I do have some, and it’s good.
ÉIRE is coming to audio.
I’m hoping by the end of this month, but I’ll keep you posted on the exact date. What I can tell you now is this: the narrator is confirmed, the recording is underway, and I am unreasonably excited about it.
His name is Ray Calleja. He’s an Irish actor, and he is bringing Liam to life in a way that made me stop mid-listen and put my hand on my chest like a Victorian woman who’d been spoken to too directly. There is something about hearing Liam’s voice with an actual Irish growl behind it that changes the whole experience. The castle. The pub. The way he says Lexy’s name when he’s trying not to lose control. Ray gets it. He gets Liam. And I think you’re going to feel that the moment you press play.
For those of you who’ve been listening to the series on audio already, you know how much a narrator shapes the experience. Ray is a new voice for the series, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about what he brings to ÉIRE specifically, because this book needed Ireland in its bones, not just on the page.
And here’s the part where I bribe you.
I have US and UK audiobook codes available. Complimentary. Free. Yours for the asking. If you want one, email me at authorgiacolt@gmail.com and include which country you’re in (US or UK) so I can send the right code. That’s it. No catch. Just a spicy audiobook and the understanding that if you enjoy it, a review would make my entire week.
Speaking of reviews. Here’s my gentle, entirely shameless nudge: if you’ve read any of my books, or listened to any of the audiobooks, and you enjoyed yourself, please leave a review. Amazon, Goodreads, Audible, wherever you found me. It doesn’t have to be long. It doesn’t have to be literary. “Made me sweat” counts. “Read it in one sitting and forgot to eat dinner” counts. “Five stars, someone get me a glass of water” absolutely counts.
One more thing before I let you go.
If you’re in the mood for something a little darker and steamier this spring, take a peek at these Bratva KU exclusives. Dark, dangerous, and all on Kindle Unlimited. Consider it a palate cleanser between courses. Or the main course, depending on your appetite.
That’s it for this month, my loves. No launch, no countdown, just a woman in California telling you she’s grateful, she’s working, and she has an Irish actor making her blush in a recording studio somewhere.
Stay wicked. Stay well. And if you need me, you know where to find me.
