Hi, I’m George.

For 40 years, alongside my career in journalism — CBC, Global Television, the Vancouver Sun, The Economist, the Wall Street Journal — I’ve been collecting. A large part of that collection is Northwest Coast Indigenous art, work I’ve spent decades looking at, learning from, and living with.

Froehlich Gallery is where I bring that knowledge and insight to readers — the artists, the pieces, the traditions, and what makes this work matter. I write with the same standards I’ve applied to forty years of journalism: careful, accurate, and let the work speak for itself.
