Jon Doolen · GetDoolen Substack

At Doolen Strategy Partners, our work is guided by three core values:

Gratitude, Integrity, and Loyalty.

Integrity means doing what is right, even when doing what is easy would be more convenient.

It means being honest about what is working, what is failing, and what needs to change.

In leadership, integrity builds trust.

People watch whether our actions match our words, whether we keep our commitments, and whether we apply the same standards to ourselves that we expect from others.

Integrity does not mean being perfect.

Leaders will make mistakes, miss opportunities, and occasionally get things wrong.

Integrity is demonstrated by what happens next.

Do we make excuses and shift blame, or do we accept responsibility, correct the problem, and learn from the experience?

As an independent coach and strategy leader, integrity is especially important to me.

I am not tied to a corporate agenda, consulting firm, franchise, or service provider.

My responsibility is to give each business partner honest guidance based on what I believe will serve them best.

Sometimes that means challenging an idea, asking an uncomfortable question, or saying something a leader may not want to hear.

Honest guidance is not always the easiest guidance to give, but trusted partnership requires truth.

At Doolen Strategy Partners, we do not promise easy answers or instant results.

We promise to listen carefully, communicate honestly, protect the trust placed in us, and remain accountable for the guidance we provide.

Gratitude reminds us to appreciate the people and opportunities around us.

Integrity determines how we honor them.

Do the right thing.

Tell the truth.

Keep your word.

When you fall short, own it and make it right.

That is integrity, and it is the foundation of leadership people can trust.
