Getting over the nerves and sharing my work

So I want to come clean here. I am incredibly nervous about this post. There are a lot of reasons that I feel this way that many others have experienced before.

1. What if people don’t like what I have to say?

2. What if my ideas are bad?

3. What if they realize that I suck at writing?1

4. What if my product Amped Research doesn’t work and no one finds it valuable?

5. What if people just don’t care?

Today none of those concerns are going to stop me. I want to share this today, because it feels right. People say “Forget the ‘What if’s’ and just do it!”

Amped Research is a Micro-Saas product built for researchers like you to focus on growing your impact.

Amped Research is a product I (Mitch) built to give researchers time to focus on the work with the biggest impact by taking on the small activities that often fall between the cracks.

Although, Amped Research is built for researchers by a researcher (me again), I need to hear from you.

Currently the product features have been built to solve my problems but as a researcher I realize that can only be the start. You can think of Amped Research as your secret weapon that will work as your assistant, giving you time to focus on the stuff you want to do most. In order to provide value and be your secret weapon, I need to understand the problems you want solved. So here is the ask…

As I mentioned in the start of this post, this is me walking the walk. I am still nervous of all the things I mentioned before, but I am excited I made this leap.

Amped Research is inspired by a few movements going on (whether they are flashes in the pan or longstanding trends).

• Micro-Saas: Mini Software as a service companies that solve small problems with big impact for very specific use cases.

• Ai: I know… this is pretty gimmicky but honestly GPT-3 was pretty inspirational when you can think of all the things we can do now that we couldn’t before.

• Research Operations: This is a growing and vibrant community/profession that I like to call home base. These people are building the foundation for great and sustainable research.

• No-Code/Low-Code tools: This is a movement toward not needing to be a developer (or hire one) to build incredible and somewhat complex web applications.
