AmiScan is an innovative startup project focused on automating the analysis of asbestos samples using electron microscopes. It is able to detect fibers with a convolutional neural network trained on semantic segmentation. The platform is a client-server architecture, granting the flexibility to run everything on a laptop, or to host the server on a central maching so that everyone in the laborary can manage analyses. It is able to control both Zeiss and Tescan microscopes.
