happy year of the fire horse everybody.

I am here to alert you of some of my upcoming movements.

First, I am making a surprise appearance in Los Angeles this coming week, April 4-8. Please reach out to me with your budget, availability, and interest flash/design idea if you’d like to book an appt.

After that, I’ll be back in New Orleans until early May. In May I plan to stop by New York City and hopefully Richmond VA + possibly Atlanta! I will be looking for somewhere to crash and a studio to work out of in Richmond + Atlanta, any leads are welcome.

I’ll head to Reno, NV and then San Fransisco in June/July before heading to…. Sydney, Australia! I plan to kick it in Australia for a few months. I will go to Melbourne and hopefully Aukland NZ as well.

After that…who knows? Any suggestions for places I can stop to explore/work/stay are welcome. This year I’m untethering from a home base and really following where the wind takes me.

a fun puzzle!

This current fire horse year followed by next year’s fire goat year predicts a period of cultural shifts, war, natural disasters, intense change, rebellion, and progress. The horse brings intense drive and the goat brings calmer resilience. On an interior level I see this as a good time to untether from my home base and launch back out into the world. On a worldly scale I prepare myself for anything. I invite change, a much needed change, and the discomfort and pain that may come with that.

  • in 1966 (the last fire horse year, birth rates in Japan dropped due to the superstition and fear surrounding Fire Horse girls, who were believed to be too strong willed, hot tempered, and more prone to kill or “eat their husbands alive.” Yaoya Oshich, a fire horse born in 1966, was 18 years old when she was burned at the stake for committing arson in the name of love. Society has always been afraid of emboldened, impulsive, passionate, violent women.

  • A tree I made last month during my time in PA at the Blue Farm, my friend’s rural property turned artist residency.

  • Assata Shakur’s autobiography that I devoured while I was in new york in January. Talk about witch hunts and fire spirited women. Later, as I passed through Pittsburgh, i learned that’s where she hid in a safehouse after she broke out of prison.

Any engagement beyond tattoo inquiries are welcome. I still believe in the power of the internet as a space within a space, a seemingly endless corridor that has always existed but appeared out of nowhere. Ok I am currently driving from New Orleans to LA writing this to you all pulled over in a parking lot. I got many more hours to clock in today. See ya later and Talk soon!
