This spasm of anticipated joy was occasioned by a story today in The Atlantic about how Trump has been spreading his ugly mug all over town, trying to make his mighty works indelible in history. This reignited in me the delightful certainty of how swiftly this maggot will be unremembered and dismembered once he has waddled away into the sunset.
We will expunge him!
Do you realize the relish we will all take in his removal…
… and subsequent excretion?
That’s really all I have to say today. I realize many of you will be appalled by this column, and I promise that, in penance, I will use AI less frequently for a while.

Meanwhile, speaking of maggotry, I’d like to introduce you to a headline from today’s Washington Post’s Opinions section. Here it comes. Ready?
The attorney general’s department is supervised by the president.

Yep, it actually tries to make that case.
It also lionizes Bill Barr, attorney general in Trump’s first term, for his ethics. This is the same Bill Barr who famously leapt ahead of the news curve and deceitfully mischaracterized the Mueller Report, shaping coverage in Trump’s favor. And who ignored his underlings’ advice and was absurdly lenient on Trump crony and convicted felon Roger Stone. And who marched with Trump through a Lafayette Square that had been strong-arm cleared of people who were protesting the regime’s police brutality and racial injustice, so his boss could get a phony sanctimonious photo-op holding a Bible in front of a church.
