🍿 Toddler Club: Zog + The Gruffalo (1-5y) 10.45 🐤
📍 The Everyman Cinema, St James Quarter
Also on Saturday at 09.30, Sunday at 10.00 and Monday at 10.15.

🏕️ Camping at the Park 12th June - 31st August
📍 Dalkeith Country Park

Just sharing in case anyone else is wanting to try camping with the kids but are worried it could be shite. This campsite is reassuringly close to home comforts if it all goes tits up and could serve as a good trial run before committing to going further afield. They even have pre-pitched bell tents and air beds available for all you glamourous campers.

May be an image of text that says "GORGILE COMMUNITY FARM Forest FOxES NATURE PLAY AT THE FARM WHO? Children age 2+ and their carers from EH11 area 5th June WHEN? 29th May 12th June 10-11:30am 19th June B: E5 per session Scan to book *block booking essential info.forestfoxes@gmail.com"
I was sure I’d already shared this but possibly not so apologies if there aren’t any spaces left!

🌦️ Dynamos: Whatever the Weather (4-6y) 14.00-15.00 🐤🐔
📍 Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh
Dynamic Earth host weekly, interactive science sessions with different age categories and themes. We’ve been a few times and our kids really enjoy them. The guy who usually runs the sessions could easily get a job as a kids’ TV presenter - total pro!
There’s also an under 4’s session at 10.00.

🌊 Splash at the Shore (4y+) 17.00
📍 Lost Shore, Ratho

This looks cool! There’s going to be a few sessions for non-surfers to muck about in the waves this summer.

🎪 Leith Festival Gala Day 🆓
📍 Leith Links
Leith Festival
is in full swing this weekend. Expect food stalls, music, entertainment and all round good times! Trinity House has an open day today too so if you’re looking for maritime themed activities, head there.

📍 EICC - Sat/Sun 10.00/12.00/15.00 - bloody expensive considering there’s no guarantee of a flying Pinky Ponk!

📽️ Square Cinema (12th-14th) 🆓
📍 St Andrew Square Garden

Lots of free outdoor cinema today:
11:00 Zootropolis 2
13:10 The Adventures Of Tintin - 15th Anniversary
15:15 Wicked: For Good
17:45 Back To The Future

🎻 June Family Ceilidh 15.00 🆓
📍 Counting House Ballroom, Southside
Love a ceilidh!

📽️ Square Cinema (12th-14th) 🆓
📍 St Andrew Square Garden

More free outdoor cinema today:
11:00 Lilo & Stitch
13:00 How To Train Your Dragon
15:20 Labyrinth - 40th Anniversary

🐢 The Red Turtle 11.00
📍 Filmhouse, Lothian Road
I saw this film years ago but all I can remember is an unfortunately timed fart during one of the quietest moments of the film.

🎤 K-Pop Live 2 (4y+) 11.00-14.00
📍 Corn Exchange

It’s hard to tell what this will be like, definitely has the potential to be awful for us parents but just might also be the best time ever for our K-Pop obsessed children…

🎻 Easy Sundays: Family Ceilidh 13.00
📍 Scottish Storytelling Centre, Royal Mile
Come with family and friends to dance Scottish dances and sing well-known songs with the Minnow Cèilidh Band. All dances will be called and there’ll be easy-to-follow circles for wee ones. A fun introduction to sociable dancing with live music.”

🧩 Stay & Play Group 09.30-11.30 🐣🐤
📍 Gorgie Memorial Hall

These drop-in parent and child sessions are run by some very lovely local childminders and take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time. Suggested donation £2.

🌞 Midsommar Party 17.00-19.00 🆓
📍 IKEA, Straiton

A cheeky little 3 course dinner for £7.50 plus an Abba tribute band and crafts. Only at IKEA.

✨ Here’s a sneak peek at next week for my paid subscribers. Thanks for keeping me showing up every week!
