Winter solstice is upon us, the longest night. A time for letting go and welcoming in the new. Whilst spring is still a long way away, and our coldest days are yet to come, seeds are being planted in readiness for the return of the warmth and the light.

This newsletter is a new seed, I’m changing newsletter platforms to a way more community orientated one - substack. This is a bit of a trial, so it’ll be short and sweet!

I am starting to prepare for my last Kimberley Connection Gathering and 21 Day Desert Pilgrimage. And too, dreaming into the new Rewilding Immersions - it’s literally been in my dreams. We’re still madly working away on our essential needs for home here…. I say madly as there is definitely burnout creeping in and this solstice marks a point of slowing down, turning inwards and trusting in nature to look after us a bit more.

Let’s not forget that! May we let a little more nature in this solstice, as we remember our ancestral ways of living with the earth, not against. May we continue to find comfort in nature even through the coldest months, may we not resist the season, but fully invite in this wintering, a time of deep rest that is so essential for our health and life!

Solstice blessings,

Karla.

We walk this journey with the people, devoted to the journey of decolonising and returning to right relationship. We do this imperfectly and sometimes clumsily, but commit to learning, listening and returning to the ancient ways. We are learning respect, step by step...
