Hi squad,
January has been so cold and miserable here in the west of Glasgow.
But there’s something good on the horizon that’s been my north star… And as subscribers of my newsletter, you’ll be the first to know.
New graphic novel announcement + newsletter exclusive discount
Allow me to introduce SECRET AGENT NESSIE, a new kid’s graphic novel written by me, launching on 19 March 2026!
I asked the publisher for a discount code for my newsletter subscribers. I really appreciate each and everyone of you for supporting my work, so if you fancy buying the graphic novel, I wanted you to get some money off.
If you have a young person in your life, or fancy a laugh as an adult, you can pre-order the graphic novel with 25% off using the coupon code: SECRET25 at the check-out. Also, delivery is free when you spend over £10.
About Secret Agent Nessie
Secret Agent Nessie and her team of friends — genius inventor Bea the Beaver and quick-stinging Jelly the jellyfish — are on a mission to keep Loch Ness safe!
When a gang of squabbling seagulls pulls off a heartless fish-and-chip heist, Nessie and her W.E.T. (Water Espionage Team) pals spring into action. But what monstrous master plan is their bird-brained enemy plotting from the ruins of Urquhart Castle?
Chock full of water fights, bird puns, larger-than-life characters and at least one stolen tractor, Secret Agent Nessie is a laugh-out-loud, full-colour graphic-novel adventure. This bold and wacky tale of underwater espionage and feathered felons is perfect for children aged 6 and up. From the brilliant brain of author Gary Chudleigh (LEGO comics) and the playful pen of illustrator Laura Howell (The Beano).
Every Last One Chapter 3 fulfilment
We’ve arrived at the end of the long, fun and educational journey that was Kickstarting and producing Every Last One. I began shipping out chapter 3 this week.
I can’t believe that it was two years ago that we began this project. No one tells you when you get into comics that they’ll take years to make and minutes to read!
I also recently announced the comic series was picked up for publication in Spain. Artist Dani Coloma has been promoting chapter 1 in Madrid, which you can see from his Instagram:
Why not give him a follow? And also, follow me while you’re there!
On a personal note
To counteract all this lovely kid’s comic vibe, I’ve been rewatching and re-reading The Walking Dead. It’s pretty grim for winter, but I love it. I’ve not revisited them in years and I’m having a blast reconnecting with the stories. Amazing work.
I booted up Cyberpunk 2077 for another go. I just couldn’t get into it before. I’m now starting to get the hang of it and feel the vibe. The city is just amazing and so immersive. I’m too early on to get a real feel for the missions but the small gigs I’ve done so far have been fun with varied gameplay.
I’m insanely hyped for Resident Evil 9. If you can’t tell yet, I have a thing for zombie fiction, and the new entry looks amazing. Maybe I should write a zombie comic one day?
Thanks everyone! And as always, here for questions and answers, so please comment and be in touch.
Gary
