Hello friend,
A few weeks ago, I noticed just how many things we’re supposed to be “maxxing” according to social media. Sleep-maxxing. Protein-maxxing. Skincare-maxxing.
Every time I scrolled, someone was trying to optimize another part of their life.
And then I looked out at my garden.
The calendula has self-seeded wherever it pleases. The weeds already grow in the planters. The buttercup still grows in the lawn, despite my best efforts. By social media standards, it’s far from perfect.
But it’s feeding me. Through morning coffees on the patio, igniting conversations with neighbours who stop and admire the flowers, or providing me with a cup of herbal tea.
Maybe it’s time for garden-maxxing. Not the kind that demands perfection, but asks how can my garden give me more joy, connection, and nourishment?
The garden has taught me that abundance doesn’t come from controlling every detail. I’d love for you to join me in rethinking what a successful garden looks like this season with a little bit of garden-maxxing.
