The Vaqueros from Rochester “Echo” / “Desert Wind” on Audition

The Vaqueros had the first release on the Audition Recording label out of Rochester, New York, "Echo" / "Desert Wind" which hit local charts in early June, 1964 and received a review in Cash Box on June 13, 1964. The Psychedelic Sound “Sorry Baby – Goodbye” / “Stars Cease to Shine” on Sunny-Side

The Psychedelic Sound were one of the bands who recorded at Earl Kennett's studio in Stuyvesant, New York. The Wild Kingdom, Hampton and Newport News, Virginia

The Wild Kingdom were from the Peninsula (Hampton, Newport News) and used to play on the Southside at all the usual teen clubs. The band personnel were: John Etheridge (drums), Glen (Robbie) Robertson (bass), Bruce West (vocals), and Mike Johnstone (guitar).
