GameDev India is partnering with the gamescom dev Scholarship Program to give two developers from our community access to one of the world's most important games events — free of charge.

The gamescom dev Scholarship Program identifies and supports underrepresented and underestimated game developers, giving them access to opportunities they might not otherwise reach. Over 400 scholars from 40+ international partners have gone through the program. This year, GameDev India is one of those partners, with 2 spots reserved for developers from our community.
What selected scholars receive
🎟 Complimentary tickets for gamescom dev (Aug 24–25) and B2B (Aug 26–28)
🤝 Curated on-site networking and gatherings with fellow scholars
🧭 Access to mentors and ambassadors for guidance and knowledge
🌍 1 on-site scholar meetup and 2 morning gatherings with 100+ scholars worldwide
📋 Participation in the Scholarship Day on Aug 23 (mandatory, on-site)
Please note: travel, visa, accommodation, and all other costs are not covered by the scholarship.
Developers who face financial, structural, or personal barriers to attending events like gamescom independently. If you're from an underrepresented background in the games industry and you're ready to show up and connect, this is your shot.

Europe's leading game developer event and the official developer conference of gamescom. Originally launched in 2017 as devcom, it rebranded to gamescom dev in 2025. The 2025 edition brought together 5,400 attendees from 89 countries, across 220 sessions and 17 stages, bringing together developers, publishers, executives, and industry leaders from around the world.
