It’s 11 days after my previous post and 11 days into the brand new 2026 and - surprise! no, not really - nothing much changed :) I mean, not for me, at least not yet. I am still pondering on how to go about this year’s Creative 2026 with the 52 prompts and all. BUT. I did come closer and the way it evolved is quite interesting.
Remember how I talked about having a self hand-made journal for capturing processes behind my arty decisions and for gluing in photos of the works? And how I wrote I’d also like to have a box for the possible 3D things I’ll make? And how I will go on my forest walk and ask which way is the best for me? Well, I did receive an idea, guidance really, that said take one of your beloved notebooks and soak it a tea filled container and also, use a box. No specifics for the box.
I need to explain something else at this point. This year is not only about 52 prompts for me, which is why tea staining came into play. And I had quite a journey doing it; spoiler alert: “I didn’t really drown the whole notebook in tea :D.” But I will say this, I love the way it looks now and that I will still continue working on it which is something new for me.
And the same happened with the prompt No.1 - The Candle. When I sat down with the intention of receiving a visual for it, I did. I saw a candle as a lighthouse. But I wasn’t able to capture it on paper in a way that would make my heart sing - and I wish to do so - which means I’ll still be playing with it. The end result might look very similar to what I’m showing you in the above image but it also might not and I seem to be learning that this is OK. That this is a process. And as long as I stay in my creative zone, I am good.
And why do I feel that staying in my creative zone is so important? Because I feel that when I truly manage to create from within, I am in direct contact with my soul and because of this, the things that materialize - be it in drawn format or any other way - sing to my heart and others, MUCH differently than the ones I create only from my mind. And I also feel it’s very healing to do it this way. Especially when complemented with a daily meditation practice. Definitely a win-win situation in my book. I only wish I’d be as good as I used to be with the DAILY part of the daily meditative practice :D
And the box? Oh there’s a story that goes with it too, quite a synchronistic one, but I’ll leave it for my next post ;)
Happy creating and see you soon.
With much love,
♡
Nina
P.S.
I am posting the prompts in my Notes section here and also on IG and FB. Just so you know if you’re curious about them and wish to join in the fun.
