Hearst Demystifying Media Podcast Series

Myself and another student worked as sound engineers and producers for the Hearst Demystifying Media Podcast series, hosted by Professor Damian Radcliffe at the University of Oregon. The podcast involved various media professionals who would come to UO for guest lectures sharing their individual experiences and perspectives on current media landscapes. Additionally, the guests have separate episodes of one-on-one interviews with Professor Radcliffe.

I recorded three lectures given to J100, an entry level communications course with over 200 students in attendance. In these lectures, I simultaneously used an omnidirectional microphone, lavalier microphones, and a shotgun boom microphone, all connected to an F-6 Field recorder.

For one-on-one interviews, I acted as audio engineer in the School of Journalism and Communications podcast studio, recording on a Tascam mixer. I produced two interview podcasts. Additionally, I edited pre-recorded lectures that had not yet been posted.

I recorded and edited episodes 60, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66 of the Hearst Demystifying Media Podcast.
