And thats before you get to the outright plagiarism. Strange new Worlds best episode, is a season one remake of a mid season 5 episode of DS9, Starship Down. Its a scene for scene remake with the names changed. Its disgusting.
Star Treks sillier episodes used to be something that was every now and again. But this is every fucking week now, where its just theme episodes that pilfer from much better shows that came before it. Most recently, Angel.
And the worst part is, they have a solid cast in Strange New Worlds, but the give them absolute dog shit to work with. They could have made something that lived up to the star trek name if their focus was on exploring ideas, ideals, ethics and morality rather than gimmicks and social media talking point nonsense. Its just an utter waste.
