Fuzzy Frontiers · Fuzzy Frontiers @ Substack

As the subtitle suggests, we’re trying to grow Fuzzy Frontiers into something that actually feels like a community, a small gathering of people drawn to Underground Music, Philosophy, Art, Politics, Psychogeography, Comics, Film and all the niche things that flow between them. For now, it’s just the two of us, looking after the design, development, planning, posts, shows and articles whenever we can. It’s a labour of love, but it can stretch us thin. We want to push it further and start doing print periodicals, a shop and possibly events, but that’s not really possible under the current circumstances.

That’s why we’re looking for writers, interviewers and music heads who like our little passion project and want to be part of it. We already run two regular radio shows and would love to welcome more, whether that’s a one-off mix or something more regular. We’re slowly trying to step away from social media and create a space online that feels more communal and a little kinder, for people who enjoy the same strange corners we do.

If you have ideas for radio, mixes, or things you’d love to write about, you’re very welcome to contact us here. And if you’re dreaming up an audio adventure, you can pitch it here. Bring whatever niche interests you want. We are dead excited!

Jammo reflects on a life shaped by rave culture, ancient Atlantic landscapes, and the strange currents that tie sound and place together. Coastlines, vinyl grooves, rivers and old stones all thread through the piece, hinting at a world where folklore, music and memory blur at the edges.

Don’t let algorithms rate your tastes, let a chubby depressed Celt called Jammo do it instead!

  • The Necks – Ghost Net: A one-and-a-quarter-hour divination of mind-melting, drone-kissed, serpentine experimental jazz mastery.

  • Harvestman – Herne’s Oak: Deep, meditative dub variations from Steve Von Till — under his Harvestman moniker

  • Llyn y Cwn – Barclodiad Uncovered: Exactly the kind of deep, hypnotic stuff I’d want in my ears while entering a burial chamber.

  • Death In Vegas – Death Mask: If the singularity sounded like this, I’d be on board quicker than you could say “Peter Thiel is a lizard.”

  • Schimmel über Berlin – Hohe Lichter: Overtly cinematic, goth-adjacent track from the debut album by the fantastically named Schimmel über Berlin
